To βιβλίο πραγματεύεται τα σωματεία των Διονυσιακών τεχνιτών κατά την ελληνιστική εποχή. Συζητώνται οι σχέσεις τους με τους φορείς της πολιτικής εξουσίας (πόλεις, ελληνιστικούς και Ρωμαίους ηγεμόνες), η σύνθεση, η διοίκηση και τα οικονομικά τους, η σύνδεσή τους με τη διοργάνωση και διεξαγωγή γιορτών και αγώνων. Σε παράρτημα δίνονται τα κείμενα των περίπου 90 επιγραφών που αφορούν το θέμα, ενώ το βιβλίο συνοδεύεται από πλούσιους προσωπογραφικούς πίνακες.

The book is an analytical research on the associations of Dionysiac artists during the Hellenistic period. It is investigated the relations of the associations with the cities, the Hellenistic kings and the Roman rulers, their administration and finances, the membership, as well as the complex role of the guilds in the greek festivals. The book has an addendum with the epigraphic material (ca. 90 inscriptions) and detailed prosopographical tables.

Αυτός ο κατάλογος έκθεσης, η οποία οργανώθηκε στο Επιγραφικό Μουσείο, περιλαμβάνει αττικές επιγραφές που αφορούν ζητήματα γιορτών και αγώνων. Τα αρχαία κείμενα συνοδεύονται από μετάφραση και σχόλια και εντάσσονται σε θεματικούς άξονες που αφορούν μεταξύ άλλων την οργάνωση και διεξαγωγή των γιορτών, τις τιμές για τους διοργανωτές και συντελεστές, τη σχέση μεταξύ των γιορτών και της πολιτικής. Ο κατάλογος προέκυψε από εργασίες μεταπτυχιακών φοιτητών πρώτου κύκλου, οι οποίοι υπογράφουν τα κείμενα.

Τhe book is the catalogue of an exhibition, which was held at the Epigraphic Museum. It includes Attic inscriptions relating to festivals and competitions. The ancient texts are accompanied by translations and comments and placed in thematic unities concerning among others the organization and conduct of the festivals, the honours for the organizers and participants, the interaction between festivals and politics. The book derived from the work of students who participated to a postgraduate seminar.
